a tope!!
Some new collaborators have recently joined us in the Med, for which we are very grateful. It is really spectacular watching the map at times, with the med basically PACKED!!
Robados
It happens!! We had no notice of such a thing in any case, but apparently stealing boats happens in charter companies. We don’t mean jumping on board and stealing money, or a plotter, but the whole boat!!
From here we wish all the best to the guys at sunwind, that in this chat at the forum of La Taberna are asking for help in case anybody sees the boat

De miedo
We have just read a scary article in a Spanish newspaper.
According to it, a ship that left Cádiz 3 weeks ago heading towards the Canaries, got lost and has been found 160 miles south of Tenerife.
Apparently they were contacted through the radio, which means they had power on board. Any of the systems we provide would have proved very helpful in that situation. Either AIS or satellite would have allowed both their relatives, friends or the authorities to track their situation at every time, and if needed, they could have easily contacted them through a satellite phone like the ones we sell and rent.
Caution and redundancy in the safety equipment on board seems to be never enough!
Militar
Normally, and for obvious reasons, military ships don’t transmite their AIS information, or they send it encrypted.
That’s why it has been surprising seeing in our AIS tracking page a Dutch military ship crossing the Gibraltar Strait.
You can see a screenshot down here.
